Dancer - Choreographer

I am a dancer and choreographer. I graduated at the School of Arts Amsterdam in urban/contemporary dance and music-theatre. I was trained as a dancer and also to create movement in my own way. Next to dancing in European and Israeli companies like Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and Fresco Dance Company, I did projects with choreographers like Emanuel Gat and trained in classes and intensives with Batsheva Dance Company.

I was always very interested in the combination of film and dance, and I now have choreographed cinema films and video-clips for Dutch and international artists. ?White rooms? (Factor B) won the International Music Video Underground award (Los Angeles). ?Sisters? (EYE film museum Amsterdam) won both the TopKapi Fiction Prize (Berlin) and the Eye Audience Choice Award (Amsterdam). I created several stage dance pieces like ?Let me under? (TedTalks Amsterdam) and ?River with me?, which won the First price choreography, AmsterDans 2018.

Work philosophy

In my work I am always looking for honesty, connection and dialogue ? between people or within an individual. The urge to dance is almost more important than the movement itself. Musicality in movement is very important to me and I am searching for different inputs to create a broad language. I like to work with the characters of my dancers, so the dancer can be as honest as possible in her/his performance, and therefore the audience or the spectator has the possibility to connect with the creation.
