Lab 4 is dedicated to intermediate, advanced and professional dancers. In the programme,
Talia Paz (Usa - Israel) a great teacher and prestigious dancer will teach a ballet class and a Choeogaphic workshop from the Mats Ek repertoire (to participate in this workshop it's necessary to be an advanced or professional dancer and to do an audition, that will take place on july 28th at h. 8.00 am ). Teaching contemporary jazz, Erika Silgoner, italian dancer, teacher and international choreographer.
Jillian Meyers from Los Angeles, dancer for Janet Jackson, a young and talented choreographer, who teaches contemporary hip hop ( fusion of modern dance and hip hop.
The teacher and choreographer Wes Veldink (New York) will teach a modern jazz class for intermediate, advanced and professional level and a very interesting workshop entitled "Dance Film Project" that includes firstly choreography (July 28 August 2)and secondly video shooting to produce a Short Film which will be filmed on location at the Marasusa Resort and Tropea (August 3 - 5). The participants at DFP will be chosen from a video-audition and will be limited to 25 dancers.

The Arrival day is scheduled for July 3th, the Marasusa Resort reception will be open from h. 8.00 am. to 10.00 pm., the accommodation will be available after 5.00 pm, MDF office will be open from h. 3.00 to 9.00 pm. The Departure day is scheduled for August 27th and for August 6th , only for partecipants at DFP workshop. (please book the shuttle, at least 3 days before, for the transfer to the Tropea train station or Lamezia Terme airport).
Classes, workshops and performances at the Open Theater Studio, a structure with a stage of 18.30 x 12,30 meters, with resilient flooring and dance floor (Harlequin professional studio), located within Marasusa resort, in a special area on the green side, from which there is a landscape of outstanding beauty. Other study activities will take place in an indoor hall with air conditioning.
On July 30th after the study activities, in the evening, there will be an interesting Meeting with the teachers, an opportunity to get to know the teachers better. During the meeting we will show some interesting videos about the teachers.
Each student will be given a Certificate of Attendance which will be signed by their teachers.
At the conclusion of the FINAL SHOW, which takes place in the evening of the last day, the Scholarships will be awarded for MDF 2011 and for International Dance Centers, such as "Speps on Broadway", "Broadway Dance Center" and "Manhattan Movement" in New York .
In addition, collateral activities will be organized like : movies projections on the big screen, parties, live music, visits to the town of Tropea and boat trips to visit the beautiful Coast and admire the Aeolian Islands, in particular the nearby volcanic island "Stromboli".
