Lab 3 is dedicated to intermediate, advanced and professional dancers. Dance classes in modern dance with two famous American teachers and choreographers from Los Angeles, Dee Caspary (Dancing with the Stars - The Edge Performing Arts) and Mandy Moore (SYTYCD - American Idol - Celine Dion). News for 2010 will be the "Gaga" , the Ohad Naharin's movement language, which will be introduced by Adi Salant (Israel) Ohad Naharin's assistant and she will also teach a contemporary choreography workshop from the repertoire of the prestigious "Bat-Sheva Dance Company". Lab 3, will be enriched by the ballet classes held by Medhi Walerski (France), choreographer of the internationally famous dance company, Nederlands Dans Theater, and who will also be holding an outstanding contemporary dance choreography workshop ( NTD repertory _ J. Kylián ), together with the international choreographer Alexander Ekman (Cullberg Ballet - Sweden). Patrizia Muzzupappa will teach a Pilates course, open to all levels including observers.
Choreographic laboratories will be accessed through Audition to be held at h. 8:00 on the first day of study on July 21th.
The Arrival day is scheduled for July 20th, the Marasusa Resort reception will be open from h. 8.00 am. to 10.00 pm., the accommodation will be available after 5.00 pm, MDF office will be open from h. 3.00 to 9.00 pm. The Departure day is scheduled for July 27th (please book the shuttle, at least 3 days before, for the transfer to the Tropea train station or Lamezia Terme airport).
Classes, workshops and performances at the Open Theater Studio, a structure with a stage of 18.30 x 12,30 meters, with resilient flooring and dance floor (Harlequin professional studio), located within Marasusa resort, in a special area on the green side, from which there is a landscape of outstanding beauty. Other study activities will take place in an indoor hall with air conditioning.
On July 23th after the study activities, in the evening, there will be an interesting Meeting with the teachers, an opportunity to get to know the teachers better. During the meeting we will show some interesting videos about the teachers.
Each student will be given a Certificate of Attendance which will be signed by their teachers.
At the conclusion of the FINAL SHOW, which takes place in the evening of the last day, the Scholarships will be awarded for MDF 2011 and for International Dance Centers.
In addition, collateral activities will be organized like : movies projections on the big screen, parties, live music, visits to the town of Tropea and boat trips to visit the beautiful Coast and admire the Aeolian Islands, in particular the nearby volcanic island "Stromboli".
