Joeri Alexander Dubbe
After a succesfull career with The Dutch National Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater, Joeri Dubbe has focused exclusively on his career as a freelance choreographer making his own work, in the care of Korzo productions.
Although his main focus is on creating new pieces and touring them with his own group, he also creates for companies such as Nederlands Dans Theatre, Scapino Ballet, OpenFLR, Codarts, Artez and others . His work appeared at events such as the Shanghai World Expo,Todays Art, Holland Dance Festival, Cadance, Big5 Festival, VERBA (in Buenos Aires/Argentina) and others. In 2011 he was awarded with the Prize of the Nederlandse Dansdagen 2011 and in 2012 the prestigious BNG prize as ‘Best Theatre Production’ for his full evening piece ’ Chrono'. In 2013 Joeri got comisioned to make a new work "Trigger-Happy" for NDT2. In 2014 he took a duet from "Trigger-Happy" and won the 3rd and "Scapino prize in Hannover Choregraphy Competition. His latest research for his creation Infant won the 1st prize Choreography in the 20th International Solo Tanz Theater Stuttgart.
